| Objective | Demo Reel Portfolio Guided Project Portfolio project lab for the development of a Houdini Dynamics based visual effect. Covers effects concept development, problem solving, particle effects breakdown, development of Side Effects skills with Houdini particle tools and Mantra rendering techniques. Students will be guided to develop the skills and produce a portfolio quality project for finding a job in the effects department of a visual effects production company. Emphasizes production use of Side Effects Houdini software. |
| Skills | After completion of this course, students will learn how to prepare a portfolio quality project and methods of explaining their production process. These skills are essential to prepare oneself for a 3D visual effect application and job interview. Teaches skill sought by employers seeking qualified visual effects artists and technical directors. |
