Class Length
Classes are online. The shortest recommented time for course completion is six weeks with a maximum of four months under special circumstances.
Class Size
Students are all over the world with most of the students being working professions already in the industry.
Students can contact each other by the student forum.
Study Levels
The material is at all levels of instruction from industry professions to college students and high school. There are no academic requirements to study at Vizy Acky. Intensive programs offered to industry professional are grouped in one-week sets.
The Location
If you are coming for a special event, accommodations are within walking distance so driving is not necessary during a short stay. Addison is easily reached internationally by flights to the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport.
Courses are intended to supplement a traditional arts and technology education.

Located in beautiful Addison Circle, Vizy Acky offers instruction for methods and techniques used in the feature film and commercial computer graphics visual effects industry.
All classes are currently taught by Garman Herigstad teaching industry-oriented classes featuring Side Effects Software's Houdini and the Linux work environment.
Career Focus
Courses are planned to prepare specific skills for working in visual effects production studios.
The focus of the courses are on production methods, independent of software and operating system platforms

Both Houdini and Linux are used extensively by leading production facilities worldwide. And there are few places in the world where these tools are taught.
Houdini and Linux make a great combination for teaching these skills. Both are industry proved tools extensively used for cutting edge effects work.
